PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: This small ultra sound repeller measures just 2.5″ wide, 3″ long and 1″ tall. Built to repel rodents by projecting an ultra sound in small areas, it was initially designed for car/truck engine compartments where rodents like to chew on radiator hoses and electric wires leading to costly repairs.
The unit draws just .6 watts and runs on 12 volts. Built to be hardwired to your cars battery, power consumption is actually very low and the average car battery can power the unit for over a year when charged properly.
The unit has an “on/off” switch as well as an inline fuse in case of some unusual power surge from your cars alternator or generator.
There is a an “on/off” switch and by default, the unit turns “off” automatically when it senses motion.
The solid state electrical board is surrounded by thick plastic designed to shelter it from heat.
Included are cable ties so you can securely mount it close to where rodent activity is found.
WHERE TO USE IT: Under the hood of automobiles where rodents are active chewing or nesting. Designed for auto’s, this unit can be used in small areas like closets too.
SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT PETS: The use of Ultra Sound cannot injure animals including pets. As explained above, the sounds emitted will make certain animals uncomfortable and want to move elsewhere. In this case, the frequency is set to a range known to be disruptive to small animals and is not adjustable. People cannot hear the sound when active but it will be “loud” and annoying to target animals.
