PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Battery operated device which releases a combination of plant oils which sticks to the olfactory sensors of mosquitoes and some other biting insects. This sticking affect prevents them from being able to track prey since they will no longer be able to follow the trail of Co2 and octenol – two gases which people exhale and mosquitoes track to find food. Each unit runs off 2 “AA” batteries and holds a cartridge which release a product called Conceal. Each cartridge will last a month if used continuously. If units are shut down the cartridge will last longer and can last over 45 days. The units shut off and on easily and are small enough to be set out inconspicuously.
WHERE TO USE IT: Outside where you want to sit. Such places include decks, patios, pool areas, front porches, water front property, etc. Basically, you can install a Blocker where ever you want to keep away biting insects.
RATE OF APPLICATION: A good general rule to follow is to try to place a unit on every side where mosquitoes might be active. If you are on a deck with two sides open you will probably need at least two units. If you are out in the middle of the yard, you will probably need 3-4 units. Remember that each cartridge will last 30-45 days and should be replaced as they dry out. However, expect to use one unit for every 1-3 people.
